In early 2019 Fleksibel Studios published a coloring book with some fresh artists in the street art, illustration, and graphic design scene in Denmark. The result was
a fresh coloring book with has brought hours of activity for the young and old all around the country.
I decided to make my own of Nørrebro, Østerbro, KBH K and Vesterbro respectively. It was an interesting process picking out various spots and buildings and organizing them in a layout.
Painted entirely with brushes, this 15 meter mural was my biggest mural to date. The piece consists of the different Italian and Polish workers I got to meet while working by the plant.
The publisher Multivers contacted me when they wanted to re- publish the classic “The Posthumous Memoirs of Bras Cubas” in Danish with a new translation. I went for a jovial skull portrait of the dead Machado de Assis speaking from the grave.
Whilst visiting New York in fall of ’19 I got a chance to paint an indoor mural for a guy in Queens who liked bright colors, abstract art and the work of Kandinsky and the like.
In summer ’19 I made a5-a3 paintings in acrylic, goauche and water color. The themes revolved around animals, compositions and people.
In fall ’19 I painted this piece for a youth club in Copenhagen. The object was to find a dynamic, fun and humorous vibe, whilst also considering a harmonious look and feel.
In fall ’19 I teamed up with Ice Screen Printing to create 40 unique silk screen prints based on my mural piece named Together Again.
Painting 30 meters of wall in the October wind of 2019 was quite an artistic and logistic challenge. Thanks to Byens Hegn for making it happen.
Musicon in Roskilde reached out regarding decoration for their BMX-hall. They wanted something which represented the life around Musicon; the youth riding BMX-bikes, dancers, and people practicing parkour etc. We thought it would be cool with some CNC-cut-out wooden figures which were decorated and then monitored on the hall.
